It wasn’t like Rick baked it properly or anything, it was actually a pretty shoddy cake. All that time of pestering and bothering finally paid off… But, the cake. She wanted her father to throw her a birthday party for years, and now he was finally doing it. She was wearing a pair of overalls, with nothing much underneath aside from a pair of underwear, her long blonde hair reaching her shoulders. Beth sat down on a high stool placed next to the kitchen counter, atop it was her birthday cake. “Bye, daddy!” Beth waved goodbye with a big smile, but with no response from him as he left the house, the door slamming shortly after. Remember, you begged me to do this, so if you mess it up, you’re not getting a birthday.” Rick stated bluntly, heading out without another word. “Alright, I’m gonna leave the cake here for a bit while I go get the supplies. One that she was given only hours before her party started, and it all started with the baking of the cake… Her time in Froopyland was some of the best experiences she had during her young life.īut on Beth’s 8th Birthday, she was given a present that she never would’ve expected. But she would eventually always be brought back to reality by Rick, and left thinking it was all just some wild, recurring dream she had. That being said, it may as well have been all the time. Now of course Rick didn’t do this all the time, he would often just throw her into Froopyland whenever she got to be too much of a hassle to deal with. It worked out best for both Beth and Rick in this regard, Beth got to have fun doing whatever she wanted, for however long she wanted, whenever she wanted, and Rick could continue his own work and life without being bothered to care of his daughter’s every whim. He would use magical chalk to open up the door, and throw Beth inside to have fun in for a while. Instead, Rick invented the mystical realm of Froopyland, a world where Beth had total, one hundred percent control over. Some people are very overwhelmed by the loud distractions known as Children, but Rick doesn’t just complain about it and hopes it goes away. She was always pestering him about creating this invention, or that device, or what have you. Namely his only daughter, Beth.īeth at the time was only around 7 years old, and was constantly an annoyance in Rick’s life. This perfection, a world as open-ended and infinite, flooded with endless possibilities is the world created by a younger Rick Sanchez, one that he created not out of love or compassion, but as he calls it, a way to keep the distractions and annoyances out of his life. However, if your father happens to be an interdimensional traveler who can make reality his motherloving bitch, then you’d better believe that such a world doesn’t only exist, it’s as perfect beyond what anyone could possibly imagine. A happy place people can escape to, so they can calm themselves and be more at peace with themselves. A world where anything is possible, where nobody can hurt you, and everything is as perfect as they want it to be.įor many people, as well, this place is completely imaginary and doesn’t exist but within the confines of their mind. Spoiler: There's wings in this one, broh.Everyone has their own world they like to escape to whenever they’re feeling sad, angry, depressed, tired or just plain bored. Prepare for ups and downs, untold amounts of uncertainty, and a bunch of mutual pining. Only the Morty that was apparently most suitable for him to take home was something he was never expecting. Rick from dimension S-322 had gone long enough without a Morty in his life and decided it was high time that he got one. Something that nearly every Rick he saw wandering around the streets had-a little companion in a yellow shirt and bluejeans. Only after taking a trip to the Citadel of Ricks well after it had been established did he realize that he had been missing something very important from his life. Alone with the few friends he'd had over the years, alone in crowds, and alone in space or even at home.
